The 10th annual survey of the Lyme Bay marine protected area has produced some unusual footage. Here is a short clip from one of our video transects which highlights the densities at which queen scallop (Aequipecten opercularis) exists in some areas of the bay, and illustrates their response to disturbance. These survey transects have been undertaken as part of the European Maritime & Fisheries Fund (EMFF) funded RETURN project.
